WHMCS Registrar Module Integration

Register.ly provides a WHMCS-ready registrar module for integrating domain registration and management from a WHMCS installation.

Download the Module

Download the Register.ly WHMCS registrar module from the client area:

https://my.register.ly

Use the same client area account that has access to the Register.ly reseller service.

Upload to WHMCS

Upload the registrar module files to the WHMCS registrar modules directory:

modules/registrars/

After upload, the Register.ly registrar module should appear in WHMCS under registrar module settings.

Activate the Registrar

In WHMCS, open the registrar module settings and activate the Register.ly registrar module.

After activation, configure the module with the API credentials from your Register.ly reseller account.

Configure the API Key

Add the API key in the Register.ly registrar module settings.

The API key is used by the module to generate the authentication token required by the Domains Reseller API. Keep the API key private and do not place it in public files, browser JavaScript, or shared documentation.

Verify Integration

After saving the module settings, verify the integration from WHMCS by checking an available domain or syncing an existing domain.

If the module cannot authenticate, confirm that the reseller account email and API key match the credentials in the Register.ly client area.

Compatibility and Operations

VALIDATION REQUIRED: The public documentation does not define supported WHMCS versions, supported PHP versions, current module version, upgrade procedure, cron requirements, domain-sync behavior, renewal behavior, TLD/pricing setup, log locations, debug controls, common error responses, or a download checksum/signature.

Confirm these details with Register.ly support before a production installation or upgrade. Do not enable verbose production logging if it could record API keys, generated tokens, customer data, or EPP codes.
